For this year’s science, I had assignments to draw some animals I studied. I will be sharing with you seven pictures I drew of insects and animals I learned about throughout this year.

Snakes slither in sandy deserts, sunny savannahs, and on the damp bed of the rainforest floor. Copperheads, Rattlesnakes, and Cottonmouths (Watersnakes) are the three most common of poisonous North American snakes. Like a race car revving up its engine, snakes move their slimy scales to produce friction and by lifting certain parts of their bodies. Because Boa Constrictors are heavy and large (weighing up to 60 pounds and growing 13 feet long), they can mercilessly squeeze their puny prey, strangling them to death. Disgustingly, Anacondas and other South American giants can swallow their victims whole. Small but strong, the Thread Snake gets up to 10 centimeters long making it the smallest snake. Some might find them scary, but snakes are interesting creatures of God’s creation.
