This video is an alternate history of Europe from 1949 to 1950. WWII began in 1939 with the German conquest of Poland and subsequent Invasion of France in 1940. After defeating France, Germany started a campaign against Britain and France’s colonial empires in Africa, before beginning to plan an invasion of the British Isles. It was a bloody offensive, but the United Kingdom surrendered to the Axis is early 1946.

After the war Germany went about eliminating neutral countries on the European Continent. First forcing Spain to join the Axis Alliance, then invading Portugal and setting up a puppet regime. Germany signed a pact with Ireland allowing the country to annex Northern Ireland, if they eliminated British forces there.

In the east, the Soviet Union had been expanding their influence in the Middle East, occupying British Iran and French Syria during the chaos of the Second World War. They also supported a revolutionary group in Turkey which overthrew the Republic of Turkey in 1948 and began funding the People’s Liberation Front in Saudi Arabia, which would rebel against the unpopular Sultannate in April 1949 leading to this alternate European war.

These are some minerals found in our area.

Bornite

Bornite.

Named after an Austrian mineralogist Ignaz von Born (1742-1791), Bornite, also known as Peacock Ore, is a metallic mineral that is made up of crystalized copper. Bornite has a grey-black streak and becomes magnetic when heated.

Limonite

Earthy Limonite.

Limonite is a type of earthy iron ore with a yellow-brown or red streak. Limonite doesn’t crystalize itself but only becomes a crystal when other minerals, such as pyrite or quartz, mix with it making a redish-brown crystal.

Quartz

Smokey Quartz.

Quartz is one of the most well-known minerals and is mined all around the world. There’s many different types of Quartz including Smokey Quartz, Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz etc. It can be almost every color but is most recognizable when clear.

Gabriel

Magnetite

Lodestone Magnetite crystals.

Magnetite, also know as lodestone or rainbow obsidian, is the nearest mineral mined near us. It is mined in the Hopkins Occurrence mine, in Reidsville, North Carolina. Magnetite is a type of Iron ore and is very important. It was found in 1548.

Apatite

Apatite crystal.

Apatite is a term for unidentified calcium phosphate that is part of the apatite group. It is mined in the Reidsville Quarry, in Reidsville, North Carolina. Apatite crystals are short hexagons. Apatite is sometimes confused with beryl, milarite, and phenakite.

Fluorite

Fluorite made up of crystals.

Fluorite is found commonly in veins that also contain lead and zinc materials and veins that have a high temperature. It is also mind in the Reidsville Quarry, in Reidsville, North Carolina. Its color can be purple, lilac, golden-yellow, colorless, pink, champagne, brown, and green-blue.

Calcite

Calcite crystal.

Calcite is mined in the Pomona Quarry, Greensboro, North Carolina. Calcite has a hardness of 3, and it feels waxy or pearly to the touch. It comes in many different colors, such as: white, yellow, red, orange, blue, green, brown, and gray. It’s most commonly white, yellow, or see through. Calcite’s most common use is in marble and limestone counter tops or marble structures. It is a extremely common mineral and is in most layers of the earth’s crust.

Hornblende

Hornblende Rock.

Hornblende is mined at the Buchanan Quarry in Guilford County, North Carolina. Hornblende has a hardness of 6. It’s usually black or dark gray, and has a pointy tip. It’s made in temperatures around 293 fahrenheit.

Pyrite

It’s called “Fool’s Gold,” because it looks so much like Gold.

Pyrite is mined in the Lindsay Mine, Guilford County, North Carolina. Pyrite has a hardness of 6- 6.5 and is also know as “Fool’s Gold,” because of its pale brass-yellow color. It has a metallic lustre, and it was discovered in 1904. Pyrite is used process gas and oil.

Двое друзей встречаются впервые за долгое время и они начинают разговор. Их зовуты Бортс и Саша.

Борис: Здрасвойтсе, как дела?

Саша: Нормале, а у тебя?

Борис: Хорошо, что Ñ‚Ñ‹ делаешь сегодня? 

Саша: Я работал и я гуляю, но я не обедаю. 

Борис: Где Ñ‚Ñ‹ работаешь? 

Саша: Макдональдсе. 

Борис: Давайте пойдём ест. Где Ñ‚Ñ‹ хочешь пообедать? 

Саша: Давайте есть борщ. 

Они приходят в ресторан и возобновили разговор.

Борис: Где ты родился?

Саша: Я родился в Бостон, Массачусетс США. А ты?

Борис: Ð’ Сей-Петербурге, Россия, но сейчас я живу в Москва. 

Саша: Да, я живу в Москва тоже, но я жил в Петербурге, Низни-Новгород, и Владивосток. 

Подходит к человек пистолетом. 

Человек: Дайте мне все динги сейчас!

Саша: Пожалйуста, не убей мне! У меня есть жена и три дети! 

Борис пытается бегать и пистолет высрелает. Течёт кровь.

Саша: Чёрт! Он мёртвый. Вот мои динги! Не убей мне! 

Человек: Спасибо. Пока!

Человек не там. 

Саша: Где мой телефон? Может быт, Борися есть его телефон.  

Саша: Блини! У него его нет! Мне нужен полиция. 

Саша бегает. Он видит телефон в темный переулок и набирает. 

911: Это 911. Что это?

Саша: Алло, алло? Да, мой друг убит!

911: Где Ñ‚Ñ‹? 

Саша: А…а…возле 54 Улица.

911: Полис приедет в 15 минут.

Саша: Большое спасибо. 

Спусия 15 минут…

Три полицейские прибывают смотреть за Саша.

Владимир: Ð’Ñ‹ вижете он? 

Иван: Нет. Ты? 

Владимир: Ничего.

Никита: Я думаю что я вижу его. 

Иван: Это не он, это собака.  

Владимир: Я смотрю здесь и вы смотрите там. 

Иван: Так, давай.

Владимир: Алло, Ñ‚Ñ‹ там? 

Саша: П…п…пожалуйста.  

Владимир: Я его нашёл!

Никита: Его надо в болницу. 

Иван: Ночь. Давайте вернёмся к нашей машине. 

Владимир: Как вас зовут? 

Саша: Мне зовут…Саша Джонс. 

Владимир: Так Саша, где Ñ‚Ñ‹ истекаешь кровью? 

Саша: Руки истекаешь кровью. 

Владимир: Можно смотреть? 

Саша: Да. 

Владимир: Чёрт, это плохо. Саша, нам надо вернуться к машина, хорошо? 

Саша: Хорошо. 

Никита: Давайте. 

Когда они почти были у машины, они увидели человека который стоял на длинной улице.   

Иван: Кто Ñ‚Ñ‹? Алло, кто Ñ‚Ñ‹? Ответь на мой вопрос. У меня есть пистолет. 

Иван: Что делаю? 

Владимир: Убей его. 

Иван: Я не могу…

Владимир: Убей его!

Иван: Я не могу…нет!

Они взглянули назад и увидели что человека уже нет. 

Никита: Где он пошёл?

Иван: Я не знаю.  

Никита: Чёрт, где Владимир? 

Владимир: ПОЖАЛУЙСТА! Н..Н…НЕТ!!

Никита: Нам надо его найти!

Иван: Саша, останся здесь. 

Пяьт минут, Саша услышал выстрелы и крик в полиция. 

   

English Translation (Англейский Язык)

Two friends meet for the first time in a long time and start a conversation. Their names are Boris and Sasha.

Boris: Hello, how are you?

Sasha: Fine. How about you?

Boris: Good, what are you doing today?

Sasha: I’ve been to work and went on a walk, but I haven’t eaten lunch yet.

Boris: Where do you work?

Sasha: At McDonald’s.

Boris: Let’s go eat. What do you want for lunch?

Sasha: Let’s go get borsch.

They arrive at the restaurant and resume their conversation.

Boris: Where are you from?

Sasha: I’m from Boston, Massachusetts USA. And you?

Boris: In St. Petersburg, Russia, but now I live in Moscow.

Sasha: Yeah, I live in Moscow also, but I’ve lived in St. Petersburg, Hizhny-Novgorod, and Vladivostok.

Suddenly, a man with a pistol approaches.

Man: Give me all the money now!

Sasha: Please don’t kill me! I have a wife and three kids!

Boris tries to run away and the gun goes off. Blood is flowing.

Sasha: Crap, he’s dead! Here’s my money! Don’t kill me!

Man: Thanks, see ya!

The man leaves.

Sasha: Where’s my phone? Maybe Boris had his phone.

Sasha: Dang! He doesn’t have it! I need the police.

Sasha runs. He sees a telephone down a dark alley and dials it.

911: This is 911. What is it?

Sasha: Hello, hello? Yes, my friend was killed!

911: Where are you?

Sasha: Uh…Uh…near 54th Street.

911: The police will be there in 15 minutes.

Sasha: Thank you so much.

15 minutes later…

Three police officers arrive to look for Sasha.

Vladimir: Do y’all see him?

Ivan: No. What about you?

Vladimir: Nothing.

Nikita: I think I see him.

Ivan: This isn’t him, this is just a dog.

Vladimir: I’ll look over here and you two look over there.

Ivan: Okay, let’s go.

Vladimir: Hello, is anyone there?

Sasha: P…p…please.

Vladimir: I found him!

Nikita: He needs a hospital.

Ivan: It’s night now. We should get back to the car.

Vladimir: What’s your name?

Sasha: My name is…Sasha Jones.

Vladimir: Sasha, where are you bleeding?

Sasha: In my arm.

Vladimir: Can I see it?

Sasha: Sure.

Vladimir: Crap this is bad. Sasha, we need to get back to the car, okay?

Sasha: Okay.

Nikita: Let’s go.

When they were almost there, they could see a man standing down a long road.

Ivan: Who are you? Hello, who are you? Answer my question. I have a gun.

Ivan: What should I do?

Vladimir: Kill him.

Ivan I can’t…

Vladimir: Kill him!

Ivan: I can’t…no!

They looked back and saw that the man was gone.

Nikita: Where did he go?

Ivan: I don’t know.

Nikita: Crap, where’s Vladimir?

Vladimir: PLEASE! N…N…NO!

Nikita: We need to find him!

Ivan: Sasha, stay here.

Five minutes later, Sasha heard gun shots and the screams of the police officers.
